父爱则母敬，
母敬则子安，
子安则家和，
家和万事兴。

父懒则母苦，
母苦则子惧，
子惧则家衰，
家衰难再起（家衰败三代）。
A loving father wins the mother’s respect;
A respected mother nurtures a child at peace;
A child with inner peace fosters family harmony;
And a harmonious family thrives in every undertaking.  

A lazy father burdens the mother with hardship;
A mother worn down by hardship raises a fearful child.
A child living in fear brings about the family’s decline;
And a fallen family struggles to rise again (its decline lingers across three generations).
