I think it's not they hate Chinese but what the Chinese do is bought and made Sihanouk a landfill or trash . if you been here long time ago though it's not that luxurious but many tourist referring not to Chinese but Westerners enjoys it. a cheap vacation.a backward lifestyle where old people can retire and rest . plus the violence Chinese do.
I tell you a story. this happened in Phnom Penh someone hired me to teach him. the Chinese guy was decent so that day he said please come to office. after 15minutes of teaching him this tall slim guy looked high on drugs came in started messing with my student and start screaming at me. I am a fighter he told me to leave . I said no..fuck off you did not hire me so I wait for my student decision. That guy started to kick and punch
his office next to Naga on the Korean trade exhibit. I got high respect to old Chinese but this kid is an asshole and I told his brother face to face get him out before he be killed by any local.
you can not come kicking anyone that is not right. That is why Chinese got negative impression. Not only that paid bills unpaid and noisy and this is not your country so please observe the law. don't leave your workers especially construction workers unpaid.
another incident, three Chinese smoking and there's big no smoking sign but still smoke and police approach to say...but they shove the police. a no pet allowed apartment and here you have dogs as big as husky. so neighbors really got irritated .
there are apartments allowed pets go there but not condo.look something with yard dogs need space.
when you eat . throw in garbage. don't leave plastics and styrofoam left out on grounds
Hope you teach and educate them and there be change.
